It's why I imagined Linkonpic: a new kind of "viral marketing" concept. In general, people like what is uncommon and very strange...so, this blog can be a good example of what is made on internet (in this category)...
My project is based on originality and made with very few financial means and technical skills (this is a simple blog owned by an amateur creator). The goal is to experiment a new marketing concept and to prove that it is possible to attract new advertisers (who are much more interested in the concept), even with no "extremely well designed website". If it works : I'm what we call a little genius (j-o-k-e)...and advertisers are the big winners in terms of website promotion. If it doesn't work : it's not the end of the world...
Linkonpic is an original viral marketing project where advertisers from all horizons determine by themselves how much they will be willing to pay to advertise on one of my brother's oil paintings.
This viral project was imagined to promote Marc Dehareng and his artwork on internet.
So, do you want to have the privilege to become the next advertiser on the Linkonpic homepage ? Do you want to catch people's attention on you by taking part to this new and buzzy advertising model ? Do you want to become an art patron and to contribute to the promotion of this belgian painter ?
If yes, here are the guidelines :
- Place an offer* that must be superior to the highest bid displayed on the homepage (email your bid to linkonpic@gmail.com). *If I receive several offers at the same time, I'll give the priority to the highest one.
- I'll give you my Paypal email address for the payment.
- Your website link will be posted on one of my brother's paintings (of my choice ;-) within 24-48hrs after your payment proof has been received.
- The amount you paid (bid) will be posted just under the painting.
- Your painting/ad will be visible on my homepage with the four last bidders (ads are displayed on my homepage from the highest bidder to the lowest one).
- I'll accept new offers from other advertisers once your link and the amount you paid have been posted.
- Your painting/ad will be visible on my homepage for as long as you are one of the five last bidders (after that your painting/ad will be visible only in the "All art patrons" section).
- This is the amount you paid that will focus attention on you : growing bids = growing buzz around this concept.
- You may contribute as often as you want.
- Once payment is made, advertisers cannot get a refund.
- When you pay your contribution you will not own the painting or any part of this site, but rather you are granted the right to submit a link which will then be posted on the painting.
- Linkonpic is hosted by Blogger. So I'm not responsible for occasional downtime for site maintenence.
- No illegal/offensive/adult links will be accepted. I reserve the right to remove your link from Linkonpic if you don't respect this rule. Thank you very much.
